Carolina Panthers wideout Jalen Coker is set to make his regular-season debut here in Week 7.
As announced by head coach Dave Canales on Friday, the second-year receiver is expected to play in today’s game against the New York Jets. Coker, who missed the first six outings of the campaign due to a quad strain, was listed as questionable on the team’s injury report.
“He’s ready to go,” Canales told reporters after Friday’s practice. “He had a great week, so we’re looking forward to him being up on Sunday.”
Coker practiced in full throughout the week.
The Panthers designated Coker to return to practice on Oct. 8. He was officially added back to the active roster on Saturday afternoon.
As an undrafted rookie in 2024, Coker notched 32 receptions for 478 yards—the third-most on the team—and a pair of touchdowns.
